Lack of polarity permits operation regardless of which wire is connected to positive or negative terminals. And although it´s designed to operate on 12 volts, water is delivered and unit shuts off even when battery is discharged to 9 volts.

SHURflo´s integrated low RPM permanent magnet motor attached to its ball-bearing pump head assures whisper-quiet operation in every standard installation.
SHURflo´s pump will prime itself. Even from a dry start. And even if the water tank is six feet below the level of the pump.
Even if the water tank goes dry, the pump will run for quite a while with no damage.
SHURflo pumps save energy. Integrated low RPM permanent magnet motor requires only 4 amps of power to deliver maximum performance of 5-1/2 to 6 amps and 2.8 gallons a minute.
SHURflo´s built-in check valve protects against the high pressure in city water lines (up to 200 psi). If the RV is connected directly to a city water hook-up, the checkvalve prevents pump damage by keeping water from backing up into the pump head assembly.
